PLEASANT MOUNT, PA — At a recent meeting of the Pleasant Mount Go-Getters 4-H Club, Chelsea Hill, Penn State Extension educator for Wayne County, taught the annual mandatory QAM (Quality Animal Management) training for 4-H members who will exhibit livestock for their project this year.
QAM teaches proper animal care, animal health and common knowledge relating to housing, feeding and biosecurity.
The Pleasant Mount Go-Getters take the QAM training so they can exhibit market lambs, dairy and beef cattle, goats and rabbits.
