Ok, I get it. The people banning foie gras from New York City restaurants are well-heeled liberal hypocrites who should devote their efforts to homelessness. Agreed. Yet the foie gras merchants in Sullivan County -- who's product retails on average at $35 for a half pound -- are have been doing very well indeed by paying their 6 day-a-week, hard working immigrant employees $12 an hour. What have they been doing in the last two years to diversify their business aside from 'crying fowl'. On the hypocrisy scale I don't see much to choose from on either side.
