Six fire companies responded to a very smoky fire at Joe’s Auto Service Center on Route 17B.
Joe Stalzone of Jeffersonville and a couple of his workers were busy working in his two-bay garage when a fire started in the roof. Joe services foreign and domestic cars, light trucks and conducts NY State inspections.
“It looks to me like it’s destroyed, although I’m not the fire inspector,” said Lake Huntington Fire Chief Jason Kraack. There were no injuries.
The companies that responded to the fire were Lake Huntington, Jeffersonville, Hortonville, White Lake, Lava and Callicoon.
