I hope everyone had a very happy Easter. I had a great time at my brother Teddy’s. Holly Schulman would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers. Holly is coming along and cannot wait to get home and be back at work.

March 31 was the last day to pay your town taxes. On April 6 I turn my books over to the Sullivan County Treasurer Nancy Buck. After two weeks they start collecting. If you have any questions, call 845/807-0200 or visit www.taxlookup.net for all your tax information. Once I close out my books, www.Taxlookup.net is no longer updated.

On April 11, there will be pre-sign-ups at the Cochecton Town Hall for three Cochecton Youth Commission events, 6 to 7 p.m. The first is a Yankee game bus trip with CD Tours scheduled for this July. The cost is $98 per person for great seats. Exact date and seating will be posted this week. Pre-signups will be on April 11. We will be taking this trip only if we fill the bus, so coming to pre-sign-ups is a must if you want to attend this trip.

The second event is a Christmas Spectacular Radio City Rockettes bus trip for a 2 p.m. show on Saturday, December 8. The price of $134 includes bus and ticket for adults; as always the event is free to Cochecton youth. This also includes the Radio City stage-door tour, which takes us backstage to learn the secrets and history of the Rockettes. Again, the pre-sign up will determine if enough people are interested in going. If enough people do not sign up we will not go. Contact Kristina Snedeker at 845/807-8003 with any questions.

The third event is an overnight trip to an indoor water-park fundraiser. More information is to come.

Save the date for the following upcoming events: On Saturday April 21, the Lake Huntington Fire Co. will hold a spaghetti dinner from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. The cost for adults is $10, for kids five to 10 it’s $6, kids four and under are admitted free. See a fireman for tickets or call 845/932-8514 or 932-8444.

On Saturday, April 21: there will be a penny social at the Lake Huntington Presbyterian Church sponsored by the Ladies Aid. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. and calling starts at 12:30 p.m. A $1 donation is requested for admission. Hotdogs, water, soda and chips will be available for purchase. Cake and coffee will be served after calling. Donations are needed; call Vicky Krauss at 845/932-8923.

Please keep the Ritz and Popolillo families in your thoughts and prayers on the passing of Ann Ritz.

Keep smiling and have a great week. Email leenie beans@citlink.net or call 845/252-3568 if you have news. You can always check me out at riverreporter.com in Community Living.
