Water war discussion at SUNY

LOCH SHELDRAKE, NY — Just as the 20th century has often been called “the century of oil,” the 21st century has been dubbed by some, “the century of water.” SUNY Sullivan will host an evening of discussion exploring the past and present issues surrounding water access in the U.S. and abroad on Monday, April 30 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Grossinger Dining Room. Light refreshments will be provided following the event.

Panelists include Wes Gillinghman, co-founder of the Catskill Mountainkeeper, and several SUNY Sullivan faculty members: Amy Colon, history; Liza MacEntree, politicial science; Art Riegal, economics; and Anne Ruszkiewicz, geography. The panel will be moderated by SUNY Sullivan’s faculty member for green building maintenance and management and sustainability initiatives director, Larry Reeger.
