BETHANY, PA — Bethany Public Library will hold its annual Memorial Weekend Plant Sale, offering annuals and perennials, herb and vegetable plant starters, house plants and more. Look for the library’s pop-up tent at the corner of Wayne Street (State Route 670) and Court Street next to Bethany Borough Central Park on Friday, May 25 between 3 to 7 p.m. It's an opportunity to some of those heirloom plants you may have admired while driving through Bethany and Wayne County and support the library at the same time!
The plant sale continues on Saturday, May 26 at 421 Wayne St. (with parking at Bethany’s Presbyterian Church) between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. or until plants are sold out. All funds benefit the library.
Gardeners wishing to donate perennials or extra seed flowers or vegetable plants from their own gardens may drop them off starting Saturday, May 19 at the library during operating hours or leave them at the side of the building if the library is closed. Please pot and label donations. Contact Kate at 570/253-4349 for more information.
