'Masses of Peace and Light Eternal'

MILFORD, PA — The Delaware Valley Choral Society under the direction of Jeffrey Fornoff will perform the world premiere of major work by a local composer in the spring concert titled “Masses of Peace and Light Eternal.” The composer, R. Wayne Walters, now serving as adjunct professor of music at the College of Saint Elizabeth, composed a requiem mass dedicated to the memory of Elizabeth Ann Bayley Seton, the first native-born American to be proclaimed a saint in the Roman Catholic Church. Also on the program will be Franz Schubert’s Mass in G and Morten Lauridsen’s “Lux Aterna.” Professional soloists and a full symphony orchestra will be joining the Delaware Valley Choral Society including the special guest choir Clarum Sonum, directed by Rider Foster.

The concert “will be held at the Delaware Valley High School Auditorium at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 19.
