CALLICOON, NY — The Delaware Valley Arts Alliance (DVAA) and Callicoon Theater will present Oscar nominee “Call Me By Your Name,” starring Timothée Chalamet and Armie Hammer on Friday, March 9 through Monday, March 12 nightly at 7:30 p.m., with matinees at 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The R-rated film was nominated for four Oscars including best picture and best actor. In Northern Italy in 1983, 17-year-old Elio (Chalamet) begins a relationship with visiting Oliver (Hammer), his father’s research assistant, with whom he bonds over his emerging sexuality, their Jewish heritage and the beguiling Italian landscape.
“A knockout! Casts a beautifully erotic, sensual spell,” says Chris Nashawaty in Entertainment Weekly. And Matthew Jacobs in the Huffington Post says, “Some of the richest chemistry I’ve ever witnessed in a movie. It’s sublime.”
The Callicoon Theater is located at 30 Upper Main St, Callicoon, NY. Admission costs $11 ($9 admission on Mondays and matinees) and $8 for children under 12 at all shows. CineArt is a partnership between DVAA and the Callicoon Theater that promotes and screens independent, foreign and art films.
