Mittens for Kittens adoption event

MILFORD, PA — On Sunday, December 17, the Milford Craft Show store will host a Mittens for Kittens adoption event. For each pair of mittens sold, $10 will be donated to Jill’s Ferals. Adoptable kittens will also be available from 12 noon to 3 p.m., depending on weather. The Milford Craft Show store is located at 120 E. Harford St.

Billy’s New Hope Hoedown

WAYMART, PA — Billy’s New Hope Barn will hold a country music hoedown on Sunday, September 17 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Camp Ladore, 287 Owego Tpk. Recording artist Nikki Briar will provide music for listening as well as getting your feet tapping and joining your friends for line dancing.

A serious, unexpected and often dangerous situation requiring immediate attention defines what an emergency is. When a pet becomes ill, it is often something that pet owners rarely prepare for but certainly something that we need to think about before there is a time of need.

Our 4-H dairy project

Hi, we are Tyler and Olivia Gries. We are third-generation members of the Calkins 4-H Agricultural Club and the fifth generation to live on the family dairy farm in Boyds Mills. We have five dairy animals and four market hogs we will be showing at the Wayne County Fair.

Have you ever been to the Wayne County Fair and wandered through the animal barns and wondered what the 4-H barns are all about? My name is Rachel Olver, and I am a sophomore at Honesdale High School and a member of the Calkins Agricultural 4-H club.
