The Spring 2003 issue of The River Reporter's The Kid Amphibian is now available.

The Journal for Kids by Kids has grown up over the years and added its Journal for Teens by Teens. Both serve as platforms for young people to share their thoughts and feelings. Featuring fine writing, photography and artwork from the vast majority of area schools in Sullivan, Orange, Wayne and Pike Counties.

The New York Press Association name The Amphibian the first place winner for "Best Special Section" in 1998. In 1999, it was honored by the International Reading Association and the Sullivan County Reading Council during their "Celebrate Literacy" campaign.

Aside from the print version of The Amphibian, a new website, The Ambhibian Online (www.amphibianonline.com) was recently launched. Online you will find a fully searchable databse of the many submissions received... most of which could not be printed in the paper version.

All versions of The Amphibian help to fulfill a most important mission... namely helping children to grow into young adults equipped with a better understanding of themselves and each other.
