CLARYVILLE, NY — Hurricanes Irene and Lee destroyed the Frost Valley YMCA Camp and Conference Center, and flooding washed out some recent road repairs.
The collective damage from both hurricanes has disrupted the programs at Frost Valley YMCA in many ways. Despite canceling several events, the facility is open and the staff continues to assist many neighbors with food, water and shelter.
The current estimate for damages on the property is $750,000. The Executive Leadership Team and the Board of Directors are focused on the financial steps that must be addressed to start the rebuilding of Frost Valley. They are seeking donations through their website: www.frostvalley.org/relieffund .
