In response to the letter to the editor (in The River Reporter issue of July 18 to 24), we were so surprised that someone would write a harsh letter about Heinle’s General Store. Shame on you. The store was closed for a number of years; it was boarded up and so depressing every time you passed by.
We have lived here with our family for over 51 years and we are thrilled the store is open. We couldn’t wait for the new owners to open their doors. Heinle’s General Store is beautifully restored. It is so special that the new owners chose to keep the original name.
To the new owners, thank you for caring about our community. Everyone here is so happy.
Much success to you.
