In response to a letter to the editor recently published in The River Reporter about Shohola, I must say that I find it hard to believe that some of the residents of Shohola are still ignorant about what is going on in this town. For the past year and a half, allegations against the previous administration have been made as to the legality of their behavior. Yet, all I hear from Mrs. Eisenhauer is how George Fluhr and Greg Hoeper are the cause of the upset in Shohola. Wasn’t it obvious that something was going on in this town with the abrupt resignation of Steven Dellert, when he decided to jump ship rather than face the residents? And after that, the township’s solicitor resigned as supervisor Hoeper was entering the municipal building for his first meeting as supervisor. Was this just a coincidence?
I also find it hard to believe that the residents of Shohola never questioned the former administration, yet continuously point their fingers at George Fluhr and Greg Hoeper. Is that fair? False rumors? A grand jury is not summoned on rumors. Unanswered questions? Ask your friend Mrs. Wall, she may have the answers. Denial of requests? The township secretary is spending in excess of 25 percent of her time furiously filling open records requests. It seems that the township is doing everything to fulfill its obligations.
Why do you continue to judge George Fluhr and Greg Hoeper? Why do you and your associates continue to heckle and attempt to disrupt public meetings? In my opinion, they are both being used as scapegoats for all the turmoil in Shohola.
If ignorance is bliss, Mrs. Eisenhauer is the most blissful resident in our little town.
