On 06/04/12 Village of Liberty Police executed a search warrant on a residence located on Highview Avenue in the Village of Liberty. Village of Liberty Police in conjunction with the New York State Police had been investigating the sale of marihuana from that location.
Arrested as a result of the search warrant was an 18 year old male of Liberty, after police located almost a pound of marihuana with a street value of approximately $1,000 hidden in the residence. The 18 year old was charged with Criminal possession of marihuana in the 3rd degree, a felony and was being held at the Village of Liberty Police Department awaiting arraignment.
