On Monday January 2, 2012 Sheriff’s Deputies interviewed a female complainant who reported that her ex-boyfriend was harassing her. The victim, who had an order of protection, stated that John Ferreri, Jr., 21, of Smallwood, NY was continually calling and texting her cellphone and threatening her. While she was filing the report at the Sheriff’s Office, the suspect once again called her cell phone.
Deputies answered the victim’s phone and confronted the him. Ferreri became enraged that the Deputies were involved and threatened to shoot them if they tried to arrest him. A warrant of arrest was obtained for Ferreri and Deputies began searching for him. The next day, January 3, 2012 Deputies, acting on a tip, went to a residence on Fox Mountain Rd. in White Sulphur Springs. Ferreri fled the residence via the back door just before the Deputies arrived.
