LIBERTY, NY — Farmers and farm market managers can attend a free webinar on how receive certification to accept WIC and Senior Citizens’ Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) checks at authorized farmers’ markets. This event, mandatory for farmers who want to accept these checks, will be offered on Tuesday, February 4 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Gerald J. Skoda Extension Education Center.
Participants will be provided with the policies and procedures for both programs. Farmers benefit from the programs by direct marketing their locally grown, fresh produce to eligible participants at their community farmers’ markets.
