MILFORD, PA — On Friday, October 18, at 7 p.m., The Pike County Historical Society will host a showing of, and commentary on, “The Vanishing American” (Paramount 1925). The film was adapted from the Zane Grey novel of the same title. Located at 608 Broad St. in Milford, the film will be shown in the Foundation Room of The Columns Museum.
Film critic Robert Lentz will be on hand to discuss and introduce the film. Admission is free.
“It’s a real pleasure to be able to show a film of this quality,” said Lori Strelecki, director of The Columns Museum. “Especially in conjunction with the Black Bear Film Festival throughout the weekend. We certainly hope to shed some light on Zane Grey’s perspective of ‘The Vanishing American.’”
