MILFORD, PA — The 14th annual Black Bear Film Festival, taking place October 18-20, begins a weekend-long celebration of independent filmmaking with its signature event, the Opening Night Gala. This year’s gala will be held October 18, 6 to 8 p.m., at St. Patrick’s event venue on 111 E. High St.
The event also marks the festival’s opening-night film, “Isn’t it Delicious?” premiering 8:30 p.m. at the Historic Milford Theatre, 114 E. Catherine St. Tickets for the gala and opening-night film cost $60 per person. Guests can also purchase a Gold Pass for $150, which includes admission to the gala, the opening night film and all additional festival films.
“If you want Hollywood in Milford, this is it,” said Jerry Beaver, founding president of the Black Bear Film Festival. “The Opening Night Movie title says it all. ‘Isn’t it Delicious?’ You bet! This year’s gala menu and film selection serves up a veritable feast for the senses.”
The gala menu features appetizers, entrées and desserts prepared by chefs from local restaurants, including The Fork at Twin Lakes, Waterwheel Café, The River Rock Inn & Restaurant, Fretta’s and The Grotto at the Zaloom House.
