HAWLEY, PA — The Hawley Harvest Hoedown, sponsored by the Downtown Hawley Partnership, will be held on Saturday, October 5 at 10 a.m. with a wide variety of traditional games, activities, craft vendors and entertainment. While much of the hoedown action will be centrally located on Main, Keystone, and Church streets, many businesses, including galleries, specialty retailers and eateries, will also be offering special activities and promotions to mark autumn harvest time at this annual event.
There will be various vendors, a pumpkin patch, a hay ride and petting zoo, as well as pumpkin decorating, face painting and games for kids. There will be selections of old-fashioned food items including baked goods, maple syrup, kettle corn, smoothies and more. Numerous crafters will offer handmade items, and farmers market selections such as apples, mums, and corn stalks will also be available.
At approximately 12:30 p.m. at the hay bale theatre in the round near the Ritz Theatre marquee this year’s headliner entertainment Freight Train Boogie returns with its own style of bluegrass and other tunes.
