LIVINGSTON MANOR, NY — Artists and thinkers in residence at the School of Making Thinking (SMT) will present artwork and performances in a Make-Think-athon in the galleries at the CAS Arts Center at 48 Main St., on Saturday, June 23 from 12 noon to 5 p.m. Based in the Catskills, the School of Making Thinking residents explore interdisciplinary projects collaboratively and experientially. The Make-Think-athon will be open to the public and is free.
Among the artists and performances will be Claire Epstein with “Thoughtfeeling,” an immersive multimedia piece mixing live performance, projections, public participation and more; Anna Costa e Silva, a Brazilian filmmaker with a short, experimental, documentary film about insanity called “Voices;” and Aaron Finbloom, a philosopher and performance artist with in-progress work on immortality. There will also be a 20-minute interactive performance piece where a group of 10 SMT residents and any interested audience members, will enact 10 one-minute performances.
