Pike County Sentencing Information for June 1, 2017

Pike County District Attorney Raymond J. Tonkin announced the following criminal sentences were issued by Pike County Court of Common Pleas Judge Gregory Chelak:

Dustin John Hoeper, age 32, of Shohola, PA, was sentenced to 72 hours to 6 months in the Pike County Jail, fined $1,300.00 and had his driver’s license suspended for 12 months for the crimes of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol or a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Hoeper was stopped by the state police on November 24, 2016, for speeding and erratic driving along Milford Road in Delaware Township.  In speaking with Hoeper, the trooper detected the smell of Marihuana and was observed Hoeper to have glassy, red, dilated eyes.  Hoeper was found in possession of Marihuana and two bowls.  A Field Sobriety Test was administered but could not be completed.  A blood test confirmed the presence of THC in Hoeper’s blood.

Brittny Marie Stalter, age 27, of Greeley, PA, was sentenced to 12 months of probation and fined $300.00 for the crime of Theft.  Stalter used a credit card belonging to a resident of Lackawaxen Township, without the owner’s permission, to purchase $205.41 in merchandise.

Martin Wesley Davis, age 28, of Milford, PA, was sentenced to 18 days to 6 months in the Pike County Jail, followed by 6 months of probation, fined $600.00 and had his driver’s license suspended for 6 months for the crimes of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  The state police responded to a resort in Dingman Township on May 9, 2016, where a search of his room revealed Marihuana, Suboxone Strips, and a Subutex pill.  On November 9, 2016, after being served a warrant for his arrest while at a residence in Dingman Township, Davis was searched and found in possession of a container for the storage of Marihuana.
