The New York State Police Troop F Child Abuse Unit announces the arrest of Yermia “Jeremy” Solomon, age 25, from the Village of Woodridge.
Over the course of the investigation it was determined that Solomon, who is a officer with the Monticello Police force, engaged in sexual relations with a minor who was less than seventeen years old at the time. Solomon was charged with Rape in the 3rd Degree (a class E felony), Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Official Misconduct (both class A misdemeanors).
Solomon was arraigned in the Town of Thompson Court and remanded to Sullivan County Jail in lieu of $50,000.00 bail. An order of Protection was issued on behalf of the victim and Solomon was ordered to return to the Village of Woodridge Court on a later date.
