Four arrests made in Liberty, Callicoon burglaries

During the week of January 16th, 2017 Troopers from the Liberty barracks handled a number of burglary complaints in the towns of Liberty and Callicoon.  The two week long investigation culminated in the arrests of four subjects, all residents of the Village of Liberty.  Tonya Chapman, age 36 was arrested on January 26th.  Jason Huebsch, age 31, Frank Egan, age 27 and Vanessa Sanchez, age 37, were arrested on January 27th.  The investigation resulted in the recovery of a large amount of jewelry.  

All were charged with Burglary 2nd degree, a felony and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 5th Degree, a misdemeanor.  Sanchez was additionally charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th Degree, a felony.  Egan was additionally charged with Tampering with Physical Evidence, a felony.  All were arraigned in the Town of Liberty Justice Court and remanded to the Sullivan County Jail. 

The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are expected.  State Police at Liberty were assisted by the Village of Liberty Police Department, Troopers from Troop C, Deposit, and the Delaware County Sheriff's Dept.
