Many ways to help out the Earth this Earth Day


LIVINGSTON MANOR, NY — The Long Island Flyrodders (LIFR), with the help of over 35 Long Island Cub Scouts will join local scouts for their annual Stream Clean Program on the Willowemoc Creek from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Participants will pick up debris that accumulated over the winter along the riverbank.

The event is open to all. Participants should assemble at the Catskill Fly Fishing Center (CFFC) at 8:15 a.m. for trash bags and area assignments. Boots are recommended. Afterwards, participants are welcome to a barbeque lunch (no charge) at the CFFC on the upper field adjacent to the new building.

Honesdale holds cleanup day

HONESDALE, PA — Honesdale will hold its second annual Clean and Green Day on Saturday, April 20. Sponsors, Honesdale Borough, Bold Gold Media, the Greater Honesdale Partnership and the Wayne Independent, invite volunteers from among the town’s residents, civic groups and non-profit organizations to help pick up trash and litter.
