HAWLEY, PA — The annual Earth Day festival at PPL Wallenpaupack Environmental Learning Center, Rte. 6 next to Wallenpaupack High School will be held on Saturday, April 20 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This free event is child friendly and includes face painting, music and games.
Among the highlights of this year’s festival will be a “species celebration room”—a meeting room transformed into a “costume cave.” Learn how to turn T-shirts into shopping bags. Outdoor activities include bird walks, a species dig, a fishing pool, casting demonstrations, kayak/canoe demos, an obstacle course and a scavenger hunt.
