GREENTOWN, PA — Promised Land State Park will again participate in the Pennsylvania Game Commission’s early goose season this year. Participation in this hunt will help control the park’s resident goose population and reduce the problems associated with large numbers of geese.
The early goose season in the park will be held from Tuesday, September 6 through Saturday, September 24. Hunting days and hours will be carefully controlled to limit conflict with the Labor Day holiday and other park activities and to ensure safety of all park visitors.
All participants must register at the park office to receive an information packet and sign the log sheet. Participants only need to register one time for the entire early season. At the time of registration, you will receive important information about hunting locations, shooting hours and a map of areas that are restricted. Call 570/676-3428.
