LAKE ARIEL, PA — Lacawac Sanctuary will hold a program, “Birds at Breakfast,” on Saturday, June 18 at 8 a.m. It will be led by experts Dr. Meg Hatch, of Penn State, and Dr. Rob Smith, of The University of Scranton. The program will take place at the hour when birds are most active. Learn about how songbirds are captured and banded for study and about some of the research being conducted locally. See and meet some live birds “in the hand” while learning all about the different parental behaviors of some of our native Pocono bird residents. Visit www.lacawac.org.
