Apply for internships at Grey Towers

MILFORD, PA — Applications are currently being accepted for a number of summer internships at Grey Towers National Historic Site, former home of Gifford Pinchot, the first chief of the U.S. Forest Service and  two-time Pennsylvania governor.

College students interested in parks and recreation, history, gardening, landscape architecture and forestry are encouraged to apply. Stipends range from $85 per week subsistence allowance to $2,500 for the 12-week season. Housing on the historic estate and uniforms may be provided.

Multiple 12-week internships are available for students interested in honing their communication skills through delivering interpretive mansion tours, facilitating public education programs and providing visitor services. Deadline to apply is March 1. Send a letter of interest to greytowers@fs.fed.us for one to two openings offered with support from the Grey Towers Heritage Association. Two opportunities are available, May through August, for those interested in gardening and horticulture; each offers a valuable, practical experience for a student who wants a hands-on experience.
