Shirley Eckhart Taverna, 66, of Robertsdale, AL passed away at South Baldwin Regional Hospital on August 7, 2015 after a brief illness.

She was the daughter of Lewis and Mary Kerr Eckhart. She grew up in Barryville, NY and graduated from Eldred Central School. Shirley retired after 46 years as an expert in the communications field.

She is survived by her husband Vincent of Robertsdale, sister Betty Doyle of Summerdale, AL, several nephews, nieces and cousins. She is also survived by her goddaughter Renee Quin and by special friends Carol McNeer and Camille D’Agate.
