Anne Louise (Hensz) DeRaffele, formerly of Ridgewood, NJ, passed away February 17, 2013 at home. Anne lived in Pennsylvania with her daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Nate Bricker, in Natrona Heights. Anne had turned 94 earlier this month.

Anne was born in Tusten, NY on February 2, 1919 to William and Louise Hensz (both deceased).

Anne was a practical nurse during her working years. Her family was her life. She traveled nationwide to be with family for all occasions. There wasn’t anything she wouldn’t do for her family. She was always there for them.

Anne was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Jim DeRaffele, in 2007; a brother, Charles Hensz of Ridgewood, NJ; a sister, Mamie Hensz Breen of Paterson, NJ; a sister, Eleanor Hensz Welfel of Ridgewood, NJ; and her grandson, Jay DeRaffele of West Milford, NJ.

Anne leaves behind her four children, Betty Bricker (Nate), of Natrona Heights; Jim DeRaffele (Joan) of West Milford, NJ; Rob DeRaffele (Carol) of Ridgewood, NJ; and Mark DeRaffele (Laurie) of Haskell, NJ.

She has 11 grandchildren, Jimmy, Julie, Jenny, Jay (deceased), Bob, Brian, Samantha, Katie, Robbie, Lauren and Marcie and 14 great-grandchildren, Amanda, Madison, Kaycee, Dustyn, Brady, Vanessa, Alexis, Kayla, Kevin, Lydia, Jocelyn, Peyton Jae, Brandon and Jayden.

A memorial will be held in May in Narrowsburg, NY, where an interment will take place.
