Candace Wilensky of Waltham, MA passed away Sunday, December 18, 2011 after a long battle with cancer. She was 64.

She was born on January 13, 1947 in Huntington, Long Island, NY.

She was a graduate of SUNY Binghamton, NY, with a degree in music performance. She was an accomplished musician, playing at various times with the Lexington Bicentennial Band, Cambridge Symphony Orchestra, and the Charles River Wind Ensemble. She worked as an independent computer consultant and was the author of two computer-related books.

She is survived by her husband, Marshall Wilensky, of Waltham, MA; her father, Kenneth Duncan Sr. and wife Ruth of Jeffersonville, NY; sister Katherine Duncan; brother Kenneth Duncan Jr.; niece Emily Duncan, all of Huntington; and several cousins.

Candace is predeceased by her mother, Helen Lee Duncan.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 1 p.m. at First Parish Universalist Church in Lexington, MA. Call 845/482-4280.
