Eleanor B. Kleffmann of Beach Lake, PA, a lifelong resident of the area, passed away Monday, November 21, 2011 at Forest City Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Forest City, PA. She was 91.

The daughter of the late Edward and Sadie Crossman Enslin, Eleanor was born March 16, 1920 in South Canaan, PA. She was the widow of Louis Kleffmann, who passed away on July 23, 2001. They were married for 60 years. They owned a dairy farm near Milanville, PA.

She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Narrowsburg, NY, and the Damascus Manor United Methodist Church Ladies Auxiliary. A family statement reads, in part: “Eleanor was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed painting, crocheting and gardening; and loved animals. She looked out for others and taught the family many values in life. She will greatly be missed. She will live on in our hearts forever.”

She is survived by daughters Carole Giles and husband Duane of Poyntelle, PA and Barbara Conklin and husband Francis of Milanville; grandchildren Dale Conklin, Tammy Johnson and husband Steven and Nathan Giles and wife Katja; two great grandchildren; and sister Marion Smith of New Milford, PA.

Eleanor is predeceased by her husband Louis; and brothers: Gordon and Clark Enslin.

Funeral services were held on Friday, November 25 at the Rasmussen Funeral Home, Narrowsburg, NY, conducted by Duane Giles. Burial was in the Calkins Union Cemetery, Calkins, PA.
