Edith V. Humphries of Yulan, NY passed away Friday, November 4, 2011 at The Ellen Memorial Health Care Center, in Honesdale, PA. She was 100.

She was born on October 4, 1911 in Barryville, NY, the daughter of the late Joseph A. Guenther and Frieda Meyer Guenther.

Edith married Harold Humphries Sr. on November 11, 1938, who predeceased her.

She is survived by her sister Viola Clancy of Verona, NJ; sister-in-law Marion Guenther of Barryville; nieces Linda Anderson and husband Ken, Helen Quick, Barbara Murphy and husband Peter, Pam Clancy Thoennessin and husband Rick; nephews Clinton Guenther Jr. and wife Maureen and Ted Clancy; and many great- and great-great nieces and nephews.

She is also predeceased by her son, Harold Humphries Jr., sisters Frieda Fleiger and Helen Liefert; and brother Clinton J. Guenther.
