Klara J. Brickner of Jeffersonville, NY, a homemaker and longtime area resident, died Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at home. She was 88.

The daughter of the late George and Julie Doefinger Mattes, she was born September 11, 1923 in Switzerland. She was the widow of Edward Brickner.

She is survived by sons Eric G. Brickner and wife Eileen and Peter T. Brickner and wife Lori; grandson Edward J. Brickner and wife Patricia; granddaughter Tara J. Imbrogno; and three great-grandchildren.

She is predeceased by a daughter, Edith Topping.

There will be no visitation. Services will be at the convenience of the family.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
