Clarence Britton of Beach Lake, PA died Monday, September 12, 2011 in hospice care at Regional Hospital of Scranton. He was 82.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, the former Ann Slaier of Beach Lake.

Born on February 27, 1929 in Blaine, ME, he was the son of the late Delbert and Etta (Bell) Britton.

Clarence worked for many years and retired from Pipeliners Union #798 in Tulsa, OK. He was a member of the Emulation Lodge #255, Free and Accepted Masons in Clinton, IA; the Laurel Chapter #67, Order of the Eastern Start, Waymart, PA; and the Beach Lake Volunteer Fire Company.

He is also survived by children Lyn Bozic and Jet Britton; grandchildren Sasha Bozic of Beach Lake, Mieke Bozic-Zeindl of Bonn, Germany and Michael, Katelyn, Nicholas and Gregory Britton, all of Beach Lake; two aunts and a cousin.

Graveside services will be held in the Beach Lake Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
