Joyce Bidwell Stifano, of Yankee Lake, NY, passed peacefully away Sunday, May 1, at her home in the company of her family. She was 62.

Joyce Ann Bidwell was born October 12, 1948, to Clarence and Leona Andrews Bidwell, of Middletown, NY. She was raised in Middletown and lived for a short time in Maine.

Later she moved into the family home on Yankee Lake, married and had two children. She worked for Kieley and Muller, Johnson’s Toyota and Macy’s. Her hobbies were being with her grandchildren, the outdoors, animals, learning gardening, bell choir and cooking with her husband. One of her greatest achievements was her wonderful family and the character she fostered in them. Her spirit lives on through them and all of those whose lives she touched.

Joyce is survived by her husband, Joe Stifano; mother Leona Bidwell of Middletown; brother Bruce Bidwell and wife April of Narrowsburg, NY; son Shannon Watts and wife Laurie of Greenville, NY; daughter Jessica Citriniti and husband Dominick of Pine Bush, NY; and grandchildren Kaity, Vincent and Michael Citriniti and Logan Watts.

She is predeceased by her father.

Friends are invited to call on Thursday, May 5 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Morse Funeral Home Inc., 33 Railroad Ave, Middletown, NY, 10940.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 6 in St. Joseph Church, 149 Cottage St., Middletown at 11 a.m. Following cremation, burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Middletown.

Donations may be made in the form of contributions or volunteering to any cancer support organization, the Hospice volunteer program, ORMC Tucker Hall, or your time to help someone and their family during these terrible times.
