Veronica B. Ronnie Haley of Smallwood, NY, passed away on Monday, April 11, 2011 at Achieve Rehab & Nursing Facility in Liberty, NY. She was 82.

The daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine Powers Haley, she was born on April 27, 1928 in Rosedale, NY.

Ronnie was known by many as a fun and loving woman. She generously donated time to various organizations:; St. Claire’s Catholic School, troop leader for Girl Scouts, delivered food baskets to the needy, White Lake VFW, Monticello BPOE, and Smallwood-Mongaup Valley Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary.

Ronnie is survived by her children Nancy and John Alesi, Marty Steigler, Judy Fitzpatrick, Mary Lubniewski and Pat Griffin, Tina and Bill Weaver, Laura and Phil Aiesi, Patrick and Patrice Townsend Steigler, George Steigler III and Anna Novello; grandchildren Danielle and Jim O’Connor, Dana and Craig Crabtree, Martin Joseph Steigler, Jason and Rebecca Tomasulo, Heather and Stephen and April and Paul Tomasulo, Jake, Amanda and Jaimee Lubniewski, Billy Weaver, Sandy Kessloff, Zack and Alex Buchman, Emma, Nathan and James Townsend Steigler, Joseph and Olivia Steigler, Krista and Hannah Novello; and eight great-grandchildren.

She is predeceased by her husband, George Steigler Jr.; and son George Joseph Steigler.

Funeral services were held at Ramsay’s Funeral Home, Kauneonga Lake on Saturday, April 16 with Rev. David Coon officiating.
