Betty (Haralambia) Patsopulu, 90, went home to the Lord on January 9, 2011 at the Roscoe Regional Rehabilitation and Health Care Facility. She was 90.

Betty was born on April 23, 1920 in Athens, Greece. She came to the United States as a young woman and settled in NYC where she became a citizen and worked at Metropolitan Life Insurance Co.

When she retired she bought a home and lived many years in White Lake, NY where she was known by many. Betty was self-reliant and rarely asked for assistance from her friends.

Betty loved to travel. She enjoyed reading and learning, was an excellent seamstress and played the piano. Over the years, she took in many cats and gave them a home and lots of love and attention.

Betty is survived by a sister and brother-in-law in Greece, her guardian and longtime friend Ralph Brown Sr. of White Lake; and many acquaintances.

Graveside funeral services were held on Saturday, January 15 at Evergreen Cemetery, Bethel, NY. Rev. David Coon officiated.
