WAYNE COUNTY, PA — The Wayne County Arts Alliance will hold its annual Open Studio Tour on Friday, July 27 through Sunday, July 29, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.

To take the tour, you can download a brochure from waynecountyartsalliance.org/Studio12/ArtistsTour2012Brochure.pdf, or pick one up from WCAA Art Market at the Silk Mill, 8 Silk Mill Dr. in Hawley. The brochure has a map marked with numbers for each participating studio, along with verbiage and photos describing the artists and directions how to get there. The WCAA Art Market will also have sample works of art by each artist to help you decide where you want to go.

Among the participating artists will be Ellen Silberlicht, whose clay animal subjects slither, prowl and explore her one-of-a-kind pieces; photographer Chip Forelli, who is also the feature photographer for this year’s TRR Literary Gazette; puppet maker and jeweler Hana Gorman; painter Ioannis “Yanni” Glykokokalos, with his wide range or work ranging from figurative to abstract and experimental; and Paula Heiser, and her vivid local landscapes in pastel and oil. As part of the event, the Hanson Gallery in downtown Honesdale is exhibiting the ergonomically designed, sensuously shaped furniture and wood sculptures of Anthony Chickillo.
