Card parties at The Columns

February 23, 2012

MILFORD, PA — Beginners and veterans alike are welcome to join some of Milford’s finest card players for Canasta in the Foundation Room of the Columns Museum, located at 608 Broad Street, starting on Monday, February 27 at 6:30 p.m.

A $5 donation gets you in the game and light refreshments will be provided courtesy of the museum. We hope to have several tables participating, with a seasoned veteran at each table to get you started or refresh your memory if you are a bit rusty. Card parties were once all the rage in Milford; the Pike County Historical Society is hoping to spur the enthusiasm once again and provide an enjoyable evening with friends in history.

Plans for two Monday night meetings a month will be discussed and more dates will be announced after the initial meeting. Call 570/296-8126 or 296-2661.

The Columns is open Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. Visit www.pikecountyhistoricalsociety.org.
