Wurtsboro Winterfest

WURTSBORO, NY — The Wurtsboro Board will present Wurtsboro Winterfest 2012 on Saturday, February 11 starting at 11 a.m. There will be an ice carving contest from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with an awards ceremony at 3 p.m. The Wurtsboro Art Alliance will present its show “Love is Everything,” and the Crystal Connection will offer psychic/intuitive readings from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with Dr. Bill, the Wizard. The fee of $5 per reading will be given to charity.

The Mamakating Rotary will have soups, baked goods and hot beverages, and kettle corn will be made in Veteran’s Park. Sudsy Paws will host face painting, Paint a Piece will offer free ceramic painting crafts, and Ellwood Ennis will host a band and cooking up pizzas, with 20% of proceeds going to charity at the old train station. There will be a treasure hunt, and maps will be given to guide the day’s activities.
