Lighting up Milford

December 1, 2011

MILFORD, PA — The Milford Business Council and Milford Lions Club will host the annual tree lighting on the grounds of the Community House on Saturday, December 3. A celebration including refreshments, glow-sticks and community caroling will begin at 5 p.m. The lighting of the Christmas tree will occur at 6 p.m., when the trees lining the downtown streets and the star on the Knob will also be lit. Afterward, Santa Claus will arrive in town on top of Milford Fire Department Engine 33 with a team of reindeer.

After the tree lighting, the First Presbyterian Church of Milford will host a live nativity with a fuzzy flock of animals a block from the library at the corner of Broad and Ann Streets.

The Milford Community House is located at the traffic light at the intersection of routes 6 and 209, Harford and Broad Streets. Visit www.milfordpa.us.
