Two Honesdale women arrested for burglary
October 26, 2011 —
On Thursday 10/18/2011the Honesdale Borough Police were called to 512 Church Street, The Briarwood Apartments for a report of a burglary. Jewelry, a purse and other items were stolen from the apartment. An investigation by police revealed that 34 year old Felicia Prohidney of Honesdale, and 23 year old Colleen Bakker of Honesdale, had planned the burglary and then acted upon their plan. Prohidney and Bakker then sold some of the stolen items at a local Jewelry Store.
Based on the investigation by the police Bakker was arrested at her home on 10/23/2011. Bakker was charged with Burglary and Criminal Conspiracy to Commit Burglary, both Felonies of the 1st Degree, and Receiving Stolen Property, a misdemeanor of the 2nd degree. Bakker was lodged in the Wayne County Correctional Facility after failing to post $10,000.00 bail.
On 10/25/2011 Prohidney turned herself in at Magistrate Mikulak’s Office. Prohidney was also charged with Burglary and Criminal Conspiracy to Commit Burglary, both felonies of the 1st degree, and Receiving stolen property, a misdemeanor of the 1st degree. Prohidney was released on $10,000.00 unsecured bail.
