‘Music of Our Time’

NARROWSBURG, NY — The 21st annual “Music of Our Time” concert comes to Tusten Theatre at 210 Bridge St. on Saturday, October 1 at 8 p.m. It will feature the world premiere of a new work by Larry Lockwood (Neversink, NY), the “Oboe Concerto,” with Molly Raum performing the solo oboe part, accompanied by the Delaware Valley Chamber Orchestra conducted by John Yaffé.

Soprano Juliana Janes-Yaffé will sing rarely performed music by Paul Hindemith, “The Serenades,” accompanied by oboist Gerard Reuter, violist Hannah Ross and cellist Lawrence Zoernig. Memorial music honoring Lee Hoiby will be performed, including arrangements for the Chamber Orchestra by John Yaffé and Carolyn Steinberg.
