‘Fields and Streams’ exhibit opens in Wurtsboro

July 7, 2011

“Fields and Streams,” the Wurtsboro Art Alliance’s (WAA) second invitational juried salon exhibition, will run from July 9 to August 7 at the WAA Gallery, with an opening reception on Saturday, July 9 from 2 to 6 p.m. It will coincide with the Wurtsboro Founders Day (see above). Refreshments will be served, featuring local wines from the Basha Kill Vineyard. Music will be provided by Russell Spitzer on guitar.

This year’s exhibit was juried by Linda Richichi, a master landscape artist and instructor at SUNY Orange and art workshops worldwide. It features works by 13 artists that were created in the last two years and not previously exhibited at the gallery. Mediums include photography, watercolor, ink, acrylic and oil paintings.

The gallery is located at 73 Sullivan Street, and is open Saturdays and Sundays from 12 noon to 4 p.m. or by appointment.
