Flooding in Jeffersonville, Youngsville

In an event that has become all too familiar in recent years, heavy rains pounded the region on the afternoon of July 2, causing Panther Rock Creek and Callicoon Creek to jump their banks and flood Jeffersonville and Youngsville.
Route 52 was closed for a time between White Sulphur Springs and the Stone Arch Bridge.
Water in the middle of Jeffersonville was reported to be three feet deep at one point, and the village was inaccessible.
In related developments, the Villa Roma Hotel and Resorts reportedly called in all employees to deal with the flooding there.
Lighting caused a house fire on County Route 114 near Fosterdale.
