Liberty Free’s ‘Red’ at DVAA

October 16, 2013

NARROWSBURG, NY — Delaware Valley Arts Alliance will host the Liberty Free Theatre’s reading of “Red,” a Tony-winning play by John Logan about the artist Mark Rothko, on Saturday, October 26 at 7 p.m. The reading and reception will be held in the Krause Recital Hall at the Delaware Arts Center, 37 Main St.

“Red” was praised by the New York Times as “intense and exciting… a portrait of an angry and brilliant mind that asks you to feel the shape and texture of thoughts.” Roaring with an electrifying clash of ideas, “Red” lays bare a truthful portrait of a visionary artist.

The play is in one act and runs approximately 90 minutes with no intermission. The performance benefits Delaware Valley Arts Alliance and Liberty Free Theatre, and will be followed by a reception.

Tickets are available for a suggested donation of $25. Seating is limited. Reservations are recommended. Call 845/252-7576 or email
