Beach Lake man’s body recovered

The body of a Beach Lake man was discovered in the Delaware River nearly two months after he went missing on the Lackawaxan River. The body of Sean Martin, 29, was found far downstream on the river near Mashipacong Island on August 9. His kayak overturned in the Lackawaxen River near Hawley, PA on June 14.
The badly decomposed body was identified through multiple tattoos. Officials said it was not clear whether Martin had been wearing a life jacket when the kayak overturned.
Just before the accident, more water was coming from Lake Wallenpaupack than would be the case at other times because of activities at PPL’s hydroelectric plant. Also, the region received more than an inch of rain that day and the water level nearly doubled to more that seven feet, creating dangerous conditions,
