Lake Huntington News June 20

June 19, 2013

Another great weekend up in the mountains; my sister and brother-in-law came up to help clean my mom’s house out. We went to dinner Saturday night at Tony’s on the Lake. What a great view, watching the waves in the lake, the sun setting, good food.

Sunday was Father’s Day. As I was sitting in church, it occurred to me that I no longer have parents. I am blessed with a great husband and loving siblings, so I am good. On Sunday, friends asked us to go to Charcoal Chucks in Lake Ariel, PA. It’s a barbeque place. They also do a seafood basket with clams, mussels, a full lobster, corn, potatoes, and half a chicken for around $25. I do not do seafood, but the chicken, ribs and steaks were out of this world. BTW: I have to start that diet on Monday.

When I walked into Tony’s on the Lake, I was greeted by Ed Kraack, who informed me that the time in my last column for the pancake breakfast was wrong; the correct time is 7 a.m. to 12 noon, on Sunday, July 14. The chicken barbeque is on Saturday, July 13 at 4:30ish; both are at the Lake Huntington Fire House.

Saturday, July 13 is the Fireman’s Day and Cochecton Day on the Lake. (I know I already put this in my column but I am going to push it, so that our entire town reads it and come out to support and great event.) If you need to get tickets, call Ed Kraack at 845/932-8514. The schedule of events will be as follows with all events at the firehouse unless otherwise indicated:

10 a.m.—Craft fair begins
