Shot fired, Wurtsboro man arrested

The New York State Police at Wurtsboro announce the arrest of Douglas Marozin, 62 years of age, from Highview Terrace, Wurtsboro, N. Y. for Reckless Endangerment 1st degree (Felony), Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree (Felony), and Menacing 2nd degree (Misdemeanor).
On April 28 at 11:30pm the State Police responded to a domestic dispute and the report of a shot fired at the Marozin residence in Wurtsboro. Investigation revealed that Marozin fired one shot from a semi automatic pistol at one of the participants in the domestic dispute.
Nobody was injured as a result of the incident. Responding Troopers from the Wurtsboro Barracks took Marozin into custody without further incident. On April 29 Marozin was arraigned in front of Town of Mamakating Town Justice Joel Welsh, and was remanded to the Sullivan County Jail without bail, pending a future court appearance.
